Belt Size Conversion Chart
Not sure what belt size to order? Use this belt size conversion chart to match your waist measurement (in inches or cm). Our belts are a little different from most: they have no holes, so you always get a perfect fit. The belt simply passes through the buckle and loops with about 6″ of overhang for a clean look. That also means sizing works differently depending on the belt style, so we’ve split the chart into our sizing systems below.
Where Do You Wear Your Belt?
People wear belts at different heights, at the natural waist, at the hips, or somewhere in between, and pant styles sit differently too. Where you wear your pants changes the measurement you should use, so measure where the belt will actually sit, not where a chart tells you to.
How to Measure for Your Belt Size
There are three reliable ways to find your belt size measurement:
- Measure a belt you already wear. If you’re measuring for the total length of the belt to match our canvas belt size chart, lay the belt flat and measure the belt from where the strap meets the buck to the end tip of the belt.
Otherwise, for normal belts with holes, measure from where the strap meets the buckle to the spot where it normally sits when worn (for belts with holes, the hole you use). That’s your waist size in our stretch belts size charts. This is the most accurate method. - Measure around your body. Run a soft measuring tape through the belt loops of the pants you’ll wear the belt with, or around your body where the belt will sit. Keep the tape snug but not tight.
How Loopi Belts Are Measured: Total Length (Without Buckle)
Our canvas belts are sized by total length, the full length of the belt strap measured end to end, not including the buckle. Because canvas belts have no holes, the strap wraps your waist and leaves roughly 6″ of tail beyond the buckle and loops. That’s why the total length in the chart below is always several inches longer than the waist it fits.
D-Ring Canvas Belt Size Chart (Total Length)
Our D-ring canvas belts and military canvas belts are sized by total length, measured without the buckle. Find your waist measurement in the chart and order the matching total length. Between sizes? Size up. The no-holes design means any belt fits perfectly within its range.
